Business strategy support for founders who need a clear first move
Before you spend money or build anything, we work out what is really wrong. Then we agree what to do first, in order, so the next month has a shape.
Who this is for
For founders and owners who are capable, busy and slightly lost. Sales feel uneven, the team is stretched, the tools are a patchwork, and everyone has a different idea of what matters most. You want a sharp second view before you commit money or months.
What is involved in working out the first move
Discovery conversations
One or two honest conversations about how the business really runs, where it hurts and what you have already tried. We listen first and pitch nothing.
An audit of time, money and risk
We follow work from first enquiry to final invoice and find where hours, cash and exposure quietly leak, including the places you stopped noticing.
A priority led plan
A short list in order: what to fix first, what can wait, what to leave alone. Written so you can read it on your phone between jobs.
A scope of what we can build
Where a custom system would genuinely help, we describe it plainly with the edges drawn, so you can judge it before anything gets built.
Senior commercial thinking
A fractional CEO and CMO view on pricing, positioning, hiring and customers, without a full time salary attached to it.
Straight challenge
If your reasoning is weak we say so, biggest problem first, then recommend one route. The decision stays yours.
How the three services fit together
Scope & Strategy is where most work starts, because it stops you paying to build the wrong thing. If a build makes sense, Systems & Solutions takes the scope forward, and Security & Support keeps whatever we make safe and current afterwards.
Questions people ask
What does a business strategy consultant actually do for a small business?
They find out what is really holding the business back, then help you choose what to do first. At NYAS that means honest conversations, an audit of where time and money go, and a written plan in priority order. You decide what happens next.
How is this different from hiring a business coach?
A coach mostly asks questions. We ask them too, then we look at your actual numbers and processes, tell you what we think, and can scope and build the fix. Everyone on our team has run a business, so the advice comes from having done it.
Do I need a full audit before anything else?
Not always. Some problems are clear after a conversation or two. The audit earns its place when the cause is hidden, such as time disappearing somewhere you cannot name. We would say plainly if a lighter route would do, and it often does.
How do I get started with Scope & Strategy?
Book a call. It is a conversation about how your business works and what is bothering you, with no pitch and no obligation. After that we will tell you honestly whether more work together makes sense, and what shape it could take.

You tell us what is going on. We tell you honestly whether we can help, and if we cannot, we will say so.
