Custom business systems and software, built around how you work
We build a custom solution to the problem costing you most, join it to the tools you already use, and show your team how to use it. It should not need you to look after it.
Who this is for
For owners whose business runs on spreadsheets, inboxes, memory and goodwill. Ordinary off the shelf software nearly fits, but not quite. You have one specific problem, enough pain to justify fixing it properly, and no wish at all to become the person who maintains the fix.
What goes into a build
A full audit first
Data, security, software and systems, looked at together, so we know what you hold, where it lives, who can see it and what depends on what.
Software and process together
We build the software and the working steps around it as one thing, because a clever tool sitting on a muddled process just moves the mess.
Joined to what you have
New work connects to the accounts package, contact records, booking tool or shared drive you already pay for, instead of asking you to start again.
Made for the people using it
Plain screens, sensible names and nothing that needs a manual. Your team should find it easier on day one, not harder.
Showing the team how
Hands on walkthroughs with the people who will use it, notes they can find again, and room to ask the daft questions.
Separate and safe
Each client's data is kept separate, access is limited to those who need it, and nothing goes out in your name until you approve the exact version.
Where a build sits in the bigger picture
A build is only worth having if it solves the right problem, so we start with Scope & Strategy to agree what to make. Once it is live, Security & Support keeps it patched, protected and adjusted as your business changes.
Questions people ask
What is a custom business system?
It is software and working steps designed around one business, rather than a general product you bend yourself around. It might handle quotes, client onboarding or reporting. The point is that it fits how you work and joins the tools you already use. Think of it as a made to measure suit rather than one off the rack.
Is bespoke software too expensive for a small business?
It can be, which is why we scope it first and say plainly when an off the shelf tool would do. Where a custom piece is justified, we build only what solves the problem, not a grand platform. You see the scope before you commit.
Will it work with the software I already use?
Usually, yes. Most accounting, contact record, calendar and storage tools can be joined up. We check this during the audit and tell you early if something cannot be connected cleanly, and what the sensible alternative is. Nothing is assumed to be impossible until we have looked.
How do I start a systems project with NYAS?
Start with a conversation. Tell us what is eating your time or causing errors, and we will talk through whether a build is the right answer. If it is, the usual first step is a scoped audit, so nothing gets built blind.
Talk to us about systems & solutions.
You tell us what is going on. We tell you honestly whether we can help, and if we cannot, we will say so.
